NIGHTLINE WITH CYNTHIA MCFADDEN

Title: VASER ® Hi-Def Liposuction
Length: 4 minutes 17 seconds

Sometimes no matter how much someone diets and exercises, achieving sculpted six-pack abdominal muscle seems like a far-fetched dream; now there is VASER® high definition liposculpture. To learn more about this revolutionary new procedure, Nightline focused on one of the technique's pioneers: Dr. John Millard.

Dr. Millard is the first surgeon in the United States to perform the VASER® Hi Def technique, and he performs it at his practice in Denver, Colorado, at the Millard Plastic Surgery Center.

VASER® Hi Def is a new procedure which goes beyond the limitations of traditional liposuction. In the past, liposuction could only get rid of localized excess fat. With VASER® Hi Def, Dr. Millard is not only able to get rid of excess fat, he also can sculpt the remaining fat, creating a toned and muscular appearance. For the abdominal region, this means attaining the long-awaited "six-pack."

Good candidates for VASER® Hi Def should be in excellent physical health, and on a regular diet and exercise plan. To learn more, browse through Dr. Millard's Web site where he discusses the technique in depth. Or, schedule a consultation today!

NBC TODAY SHOW

Title: VASER ® Hi Def Liposculpture
Length: 6 minutes 20 seconds

This Today Show segment tells the story of two of Dr. Millard's patients. John Sodini is a fourty-six year old who exercised regularly, but who found it harder to and harder to keep from gaining weight. John felt that he was losing the diet-exercise battle, despite his best efforts.

Twenty-eight year old Valerie Warren was tired of waking up every morning and seeing the same stubborn belly fat she'd carried with her for much of her life. Her goal was to be able to put on a new pair of jeans without sucking in her stomach.

Both patients received a VASER® Hi Def liposculpture in order to sculpt their flabby stomach into a toned set of abdominal muscles. At the end of the "Today Show" segment, both John and Valerie proudly show off their new curves, and explain how the VASER® procedure has changed not just their body, but their body image.

NEWS REPORT ON NEWS 2

Title: Colorado Breast Enhancement
Length: 2 minutes 30 seconds

Silicone breast implants have been off the market for 14 years; just recently, the FDA has approved them for renewed use. Dr. Millard provides News 2 with an inside look on the use of silicone implants for breast augmentation surgeries.

Testing has shown that silicone does not cause any diseases, allaying patient fears about the suitability of silicone. If the implant were to rupture, the memory gel that the implant is made of remains cohesive, preventing any leaks. Additionally, many patients prefer silicone implants for their natural look and feel.

FOX NEWS WITH DR. JOHN TORRES

Title: Denver Breast Augmentation
Length: 6 minutes 58 seconds

This Fox News segment takes a closer look at silicone breast implants, interviewing Dr. Millard to get his professional medical advice on what prospective patients should know. Silicone implants have been off the market for 14 years, during which time they were rigorously studied and tested. Silicone implants are now recommended for women who are over 22 years old and seeking breast augmentation.

Silicone implants have several benefits over saline implants; silicone looks more natural, feels more natural, and has a smoother texture. Even if the silicone implant ruptures, the memory gel inside the implant will stay in place.

Of course, with any medical device placed inside the body, there is always the possibility that the implant may eventually need to be replaced. Dr. Millard recommends that an implant patient have a one, three, and 10 year follow up, as well as an MRI every two to three years.
